    Allowed british troops to sieze homes and ships without any good reason whatsoever. Caused major outrage throughout the colonies.

    An order issued by British Parliament forbiding colonnists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountain trail. Colonists unhappy due to the land restrictions.

    An act passed by British parliament to limit the smuggling of sugar and molasses throughout the colonies. DID NOT WORK, smuggling increased.

    An act passed by British Parliament after the Boston Tea Party. This act allowed British troops to quarter in the homes of colonists and the closing of the Boston Harbor. General Thomas places Boston under martial law.

    Colonial Congress reaches out to King George III with this petition requesting the restoration of harmony between the colonies and Britain. The King Laughs off the petition and orders a Naval Blockade to forbid any trade to or from the colonies.

    Meeting in Philidelphia, theSecond Congressional Congress would discuss independence. They would appoint George Washington as commander in chief and began to print paper money backed by gold.

    British troops attack militia north of Boston. British secure victory, though colonist militia held up against the Red Coats persistantly. They had to retreat due to the lack of supplies and ammunition.
