The Battles of Lexington and Concord were the initial battles of the Revolutionary War. The British Army set out from Boston with the objective of capturing Sam Adams and John Hancock, rebel leaders, and to destroy the American ammunition and weapon supply in Concord. This battle was a victory for the Americans.
