    - The battle started because the british were planning to take over the Charlseston Peninsula and look over colonist activity.
    -To prevent British invasion of the penisula the genreal took 1,200 soldiers to dig into Bunker Hill.

    -Long island New York was importnad for the British for it was one of the main spots for communication of the south and northern colonies
    -The Britsh closed in on u.s military groups and killed many
    -Alot of casualties for the u.s and 2 generals captured
    -Washigton splitting his troops casued his defeat

    - Washington and his group were driven out of New York to Pennsylavania
    -Washigton then snuck up on a British base on christmas to gain an advantage
    -The sail to trenton was during a snowstorm on the Delaware River
    -The U.S group rounded the Hessians group with few deaths and the Hessians were forced to surrender w/o back up.

    This Battle was for the first part a British win and then the second part was an American win, so the battlwe in all was a tie. The Generals were General Burgoyne and for the American side was General Gates.
    - The British and Hessian troops seperated and got to a higher adavantage to the Americans and the Americans surrendered.
    - Briths supplies as they go further south get less, Howe and his army harass people in Philly.
    -Burgyone relized Howe wasn't coming to help him, 500 soldiers caught

    -Washigton thought he had all the sides of the river secure but didn't losing the battle and the patrioism going down.
    -The British then took over all of Philedelphia forcing the colonist congress to move to lancaster.

    -Britsh evacuted Philly and went north-east.
    - The U.S Followed up the the confued Britsh troops.
    In confusing the Britsh retreated but then got behind the U.S troops
    -The U.S retreat due to the Briths troops behind them

    -The american general made a tiny mistake in trying to defend the city and lost with 700 men to 3100 Britsh troops.
    -The British go to the south where their are more loyalist who will fight with them against the north.
    -Howe was blamed for the lose in the battle for a mistake
    -Briths troops had help from slaves who showed them pathways in the swamp
