The Boston Tea party which is when the sons of liberty got tired of the British taxing them AND NOW THEIR TEA so they dumped all the tea into the port. This is also in my opinion the turning point, because this is the first large event the colonists did to rebel against the British and this caused the intolerable act which was the last straw for the colonists and was the final reason the colonists needed for the revolution.
