    The Proclamation Line of 1763
    The proclamation was originally written to calm disputes down between the Indians and the colonials. This didn't work out and in the end contributed to the start of the American Revolution. The colonists didn't pay much attention to the proclamation and still bought land from the Indians. They didn't care about the consequences because the ones buying only wanted enough land for them and their families
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act angered the colonists because they had no say in what was happening and couldn't control what was going on. They didn't get to pick the people in parliament and were forced to follow what decisions were made by parliament so they decided to fight back and created the Sons and Daughters of Liberty.

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts put duties on certain imports by Britain in attempt to bring in more money from the colonies. This angered the colonists which lead to rebellions and eventually lead to Britain repealing the Acts on all but the tea and this lead to a truce between Britain and the colonies a few years before the Revolutionary War.

    The Boston Tea Party was the colonists reaction to The Tea Act put in place by the British. This lead to the creation of the Intolerable Acts by Britain because they were angry about losing so much tea and money in the Boston Tea Party.

    The Intolerable Acts were a response to the Boston Tea Party and were basically a punishment to the colonies until they repaid for what they cause Britain to go through from the Tea Party. The colonists responded by creating the First Continental Congress.

    The First Continental Congress was the colonists reaction to the Intolerable Acts. They issued a Declaration of Rights to protect themselves but also mentioned that they were staying loyal to Britain. This was one of the last times they said they were staying loyal.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first official battle in the Revolutionary War. The British first marched to Lexington and won the battle which let them continue to march to Concord where the Americans won which led to their reaction that they could actually win the war.

    The Battle of Bunker Hill was a battle in which the colonists were defeated. Despite their defeat the colonists gained a boost of confidence and reacted by pushing forward and continuing on.

    The Declaration of Independence was the colonists way of reacting to the way that the British were treating them. The colonists were stating what they didn't like in the majority of the document.

    The Treaty of Paris was the way that the colonists reacted when the British retreated. The Treaty of Paris was when the colonies officially became the United States of America.
