    Jefferson, along with the help of Benjamin Franklin and John Adams, wrote the Declaration of Independence. This was the United States separating from Great Britain and becoming independent during the American Revolution era. This was because the colonies wanted to self-govern instead of being controlled by Britain. During this, twelve colonies voted for independence with New York also a supporter of it.

    This took place during the American Revolution. It started because Washington's army wanted to plan a surprise attack by luring the British to Trenton in order to capture Princeton. This is important because Washington's continuous victory over the British led to America's victory in the American Revolution.

    During the American Revolution, Congress diminished the international slave trade to their colonies. This was carried out by Thomas Jefferson in Virginia and officially passed around 1807. This is important because African American slaves gained more humane survival conditions due to the less trade through the triangular slave trade.

However, through this, General George Washington prevailed and inspired his army to survive the winter. This was important because without enduring this living situation, the army couldn't have had as many victories during the American Revolution.

    The British had planned and captured Charleston in order to make use of as their base in enemy lands. This victory for the British shifted their attention to the southern side of the colonies as a means of victory. With this defeat, the Americans had lost most of their Southern army and was worried about winning the American Revolution.

    After the British landed in Yorktown, Virginia to gather more supplies to replenish, the Americans wanted to defeat them before the British could. This started the Siege of Yorktown with the British surrendering to the Americans, ultimately ending the American Revolution. This was important to the American Revolution because the Americans had finally captured victory against the British and had gained independence as a reward.

    This document was the confirmation by King George/Britain officially ending the American Revolution. By doing so, America had gained its independence and taken out any Britain rule in the colonies. This made America larger and more open to trade and property where the British had previously ruled.
