The British forces captured Charles Town because the General of Charles Town commanded his men to surrender. The British had a tactic they used to help capture it. This tactic was bombardment. -
British surrender at Yorktown
The British had been trapped in Yorktown so their General stopped trying to fight and had surrendered the land to George Washington. This act ended the Revolutionary War and the British stopped fighting. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris ended the war between the French and the Indian. This war lasted 7 years before this was signed and it stopped the war. King George III was the one who signed it to stop this war.
