The redcoats arrived to Lexington (5 miles short from Lexington), saw minutemen and the British commander told the minutemen to stand down in which the colonists moved but without putting down their muskets. Someone fired a shot which caused the British to fire back. 8 minutemen were killed, 10 were wounded and only 1 british soldier was injured -
Battle Of Bunker Hill
The British General Thomas Gage strike at militiamen on Breed's hill, near Bunker Hill. He sent 2,400 British soldiers; but the colonists held their fire until last minute causing the Red Coats to retreat leaving 1,000 casualties on the British side and 450 men were lost for the colonists -
