    French&Indian War
The French&Indian war lasted for seven years. It didn't only involve the French and the Indians but the colonists and British too. The main causes of the war were land competition, control over North American trade routes, alliance with Native tribes, the past European wars, and the fact that France and Britain were traditional enemies. Great Britain, with help from the colonists, won the war. This was important because it was the cause of the new taxes and more control over colonists.
