American Militia under General Stark won the battle of Bennington, Vermont. Which was actually fought in Walloomsaq, New York. In the battle Britian had 1400 soldiers and 207 were killed. On the american side there were 2350 soldiers and only 30 were killed.

William Howe's and British Forces occupy Philadelphia. Congress were forced to evacuate the city and head to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

On October 7, 1777, General Borgoyne led his column forward and succesfully executed against two american forts. But this time he was defeated by commanders Benedict Arnold, Benjamin Lincoln, Horatio Gates. Both sides had 6600 soldiers which Britian killed only 30 to America's 300 kills on the British.
