No one knows who shot first but , within a few minutes eight militiamen lay dead. The British marched on to Concord.

    At Concord, Massachusetts the British destroyed military supplies. A battle broke out at the North Bridge which cause the British to retreat. The colonists chased the British back to Boston and the only thing keeping them from destruction was the arrival of 1,000 troops.
