In our timeline, Washington leaves Valley forge on this date to attack Newport, RI-with the French, who are not in an alliance with America. In this timeline, Washington stays, choosing not to overexert his troops when they are all inadequately supplied.

In an ironic twist, the British army attacks Valley Forge, while American troops are still there. The British kill only resistors, but take the rest as prisoners. There are less than 100 total casualties from both sides combined, with the British only losing 20 men. General George Washington and other important members of the Patriot Army are sent across the Atlantic to stand trial in Britain. This is the final battle in the American Revolution.

Everyone with a patriot alliance in the war is fined. Loyalists are given rewards, as well as anyone who turns in an ex-patriot. Anyone who cannot pay the fines owed by him/her are forced into indentured servitude. Many are tricked into extra time when their employer begins charging him/her for food and clothing.

To try to avoid another rebellion, the Stamp Act is repealed. At the same time, the amounts owed from other taxes (including the Townshend Acts) are cut in half.

Napoleon refuses to sell the territory to Britain, even yhough Britain offers much more money.

Although the cotton gin made slavery much more profitable, Britain was under nearly the same amount of pressure to emancipate the slaves, and slavery was officially abolished on the same day as our timeline. This led to some grumbling from Southern plantation owners, but there was no declaration of war.

In this alternate timeline, when the World Wars come around and end, Britain is not in debt to America, instead granting America freedom for its great help in the war.
