    Punch Cards
The punch card was invented in 1890 by Herman Hollerith. The punch cards were used to store, sort, and reporting data into decks of cards. Each punch card stored about 70 bytes, and millions of cards were processed. Not even a gigabyte every day! Even though, this product was very popular and rose up during the Great Depression and lived on for a couple more decades, stored half the information in the world, and used for different purposes, but the use of punch cards eventually stopped.
