    This Particular event is called The Slavery Issue, it happend in the near 1800's. Henry Clay, Stephan A. Douglas, and Abraham Lincoln were affected. The Southern States/Economy were affected in this. Stephen A. Douglas, the bill called for the people of the exact territories to choose for themselves, if they wanted slavery.

    It happend in 1850, and Henry Clay was involved. Both pro and anti-slavery supporters were involved. California had already adopted an anti-slavery constitution and applied for statehood. The question, then, was whether slavery should be allowed in the new territories.

    It happend in 1854, and Stephan A. Douglas, Congress, and Franklin Pierce were involved. Probably the most important result of the Kansas-Nebraska Act was its language concerning the contentious issue of Slavery. Proposed by Stephan A. Douglas and signed by president Franklin Pierce the Congress divided the region into two territories. Territory North of the 40th parallel was called Nebraska Territory, and territory south of the 40th parallel was called Kansas Territory.

    It happend in 1859, and John Brown was involved. John Brown, his sons, and ablitionists, were affected. When he was 12, he stayed with a Michigan family who kept beating their slaves.The image would haunt Brown for the rest of his life, Brown soon became an ablitionist and even started a school to help educate young black people in in 1834.

    This is called The election of 1860, Abraham Lincoln, Stephan A. Douglas, and John C. Breckinridge from Kentucky were involved. Abraham Lincoln was affected because he was becoming the President of The U.S. On November 6th, 1960 Abrham was elected President, besides the fact that Abraham was not even listed on the ballot in nine Southern States. Because the bigger part of the voting population lived in the Northern States, those states had higher electoral votes.

    It happend in December 24th, 1860, South Carolina was involved in this, and Abrham Lincoln were affected.In the declaration, South Carolina claimed the U.S. Constitution gave a state the right to seperate if the Federal Government failed to support its “obligations” to a state. More specifically, South Carolina stated that the Goverment failed to apply the Fugitive Slave Law in all states, and the election of Abraham Lincoln showed the end of slavery.
