    However the slaves and slave girls weren't sleeping.

    The slave girls clean, cook food, and spin wool

  • Servī et ancillae nunc strēnuē labōrant.

    The slaves and the slave girls strenuously work.

  • Necesse est neque servum neque ancillam reprehendere.

    It is nessecery for neither the slaves nor the slave girls to blame.

  • Cornēlius petit Davum quī in hortō est.

    Cornelia is looking for Davus who is in the garden.

  • Davus, ubi Cornelium audit, statim surgit et labōrāre parat.

    When Cornelia hears Davus, she gets up immediately and prepares to work
