Columbus "discovers" America

The 102 travellers aboard the Mayflower landed upon the shores of Plymouth in 1620. -
Massachusetts Bay Colony created

New Amsterdam becomes New York
During the second Anglo-Dutch War between England and the United Netherlands, the colony was surrendered to the English and renamed New York. -
