Large numbers of people were moving from farms to cities beause you could get alot better education in the cities. There were also better jobs there in the cities. -

Migration to the Sunbelt
In the 1950's lots of people moved to the southern part of the states because it got colder in the norther part. It is important beause it increased the population in the southern part of the state. -
The 2000 Census
The Census in 1990 was 281.4 million, then in the 2000 census went up 13.2%! That means there are more migrations happening in the U.S. today.
