    Beer Hall Putsch
    Although its well before WWII wasn't even thought to happen it is an early example of Hitler attempting his rise in power. It was Hitlers failed attempt at a revolution. Hitler went on tours throughout beer halls essentially and preached his word to try and spark some sort of a revolution. Obviously it didn't work. It shows the humanity of not only Germany but HItler. But ofcourse later on....WWII.
  • Mein Kampf

    Mein Kampf
    Hitler began this book while in prison after failing to start a revolution in Munich and essentially take it over. The book was released in two volumes. The book gives you a sense of who Hitler really is as well as his mindset. This is only notable for the fact that he later became the ruler of Germany, and this book is a some what starting point for Hitlers rain.
  • Japanese Invasion of Manchria

    Japanese Invasion of Manchria
    The Japanese invasion of Manchuria was done by the Kwantung Army. Ignoring orders from Tokyo japanese commanders moved into Manchuria. This represents the growing threat of Japan. A country that doesn't listen and isn't willing to cooperate is extremely dangerous and a threat to anyone around them. This was a huge event leading up to WWII
  • World Disarmament Conference

    World Disarmament Conference
    It was an effort by the league of nations to disarm a country. In this case, Germany. The idea was that many countries would relinquish their weapons that could possibly be "war starting" so that something like, WWI for example, wouldn't happen again. It was a very pacifist movement. But Hitler withdrawing Germany from the league of nations proved that something like this could never work - that was proven even more so with the start of WWII.
  • Reichstag Fire

    Reichstag Fire
    Adolf Hitler was mainly responsible for the fire. He had his "cronies" burn down the building so he could later blame it on the communists. This in turn had Hitler become Chancellor which led to Hitler becoming Dictator of Germany. This later helped Hitler become extremely powerful, while at the same time setting WWII in motion.
  • Munich Conference

    Munich Conference
    Russia, Germany, France, Britian, and Italy met in Munich to decide how to deal with the recent german aggression towards Czechoslovakia. The outcome being that the Versailles treaty would be taken out without military action and that would leave Poland alone to avoid full scale war. The importance of this being that it was a hindrance to Germany in becoming any more powerful than they already were.

    The Anschluss
    The Anschluss is essentially the annexation of Austria to the German third reich or Germany while under the control of Hitler. It was the idea of expanding Germany and slowly becoming the almighty power. This played a major role leading up to WWII.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht
    Kristallnacht was an anti-Jewish program in Nazi Germany and Austria. It was a coordinated attack on jewish people. 91 jews were murdered and the rest (25-30,000) were put into concentration camps. This was major anti-semitism. This was also the start of things like the Holocaust. Which in terms of WWII it was the extermination of thousands of jews.

    The months leading up to September of 1939 were very crucial. One of the many was Hitler taking over Poland. He was very into the expansion of Germany and making it an unstoppable power. Poland was just one of the many countries he could take over. As a whole Hitlers rain and extremely quick rise to power led to WWII.
  • Italian invasion of Albania

    Italian invasion of Albania
    It was the kingdom of Italy v.s. the Albananian kingdom. It was run by Benito Mussolini. The main idea was for Italian expansion, very similar to the expansion that Hitler did. Austria was easily overrun with the end result being its ruler forced into exile and the country made into a protected Italian territory.
  • The Non-Agression Pact

    The Non-Agression Pact
    Two guys, Ribbentrop and Molotov, signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact. It stated publicly that the two countries Germany and the Soviet Union would not attack one another. It was intented to last ten years but only lasted a little less than two.This was a few weeks berfore the start of WWII and seemed promising at the time; obviously it wasn't.
  • Germany and the USSR

    On August 23, 1939, Germany and the USSR signed a non-agression pact dividing up Poland. In September, the Soviets invaded eastern Poland. This in turn gave Germany some allies which in turn gave them not only power but someone they could trust in their times of need.

    WWII was a global military conflict. It began with Germany invading Poland and than Britian and France declaring war on Germany a few days later. This was the start of a long and very unavoidable war. Ignited by the the unquenchable thirst for power by one man, Adolf Hitler.
  • The Battle of Britain

    The Battle of Britain
    The Battle of Britain of was between the German air force (Luftwaffe) and the United Kingdom. Although Germany attacked everything from shipping centres, airfields, aircraft factories, and places of political significance, they were unable to destroy Britain's air forces and gain full control of the air. It was the first major defeat for Germany and a huge turning point for the war, proving that Germany is no where near being invincible.
  • Lend-Lease

    Lend-Lease
    It began in March 1941, after the war had already started. It was a way for the U.S. to help out Britain without actually joining the war. Although this made Hitler notice us not to mention the UK having to owe us a lot of money. It wasn't until 2006 that they finally payed everything back.
