School influences adolescent risk behaviors in many aspects (Textbook 6). School and community are huge in the concept of social norms, and are very influential in the behavior of young people. -
Media Effects
Media is large in the distribution of information, both good and bad (Textbook 6).
Media has a large impact of young people because they view it constantly. Anything that someone uses as much as kids use media would greatly affect them and their beliefs. -
Technology Effects
Technology is the gateway to media which causes easy access to ideas that may not be ideal for young kids (Textbook 7).
Technology leads to easy access of information and ideas that can either be good or bad for young kids. This information can lead attitudinal changes. -
How School Affected Me
School affected me in some negative ways, but mostly positive. one of the negative ways was, it made me somewhat subconscious about how other people view me. One of the positive ways was it lead me to wanting to be my own person and have my own opinion of things.
