Precambrian Time Period

  • Precambrian Time Period

    Precambrian Time Period
During this timeperiod many things happend. There are no rocks on Earth this old. It is 4.5 billion years old. The Hadean Time was a violent, dangerous time. Earth was constantly being bombarded by meteorites. Its surface was hot and molten. There was no life during this time . There are no plants or animals. There was no earthquakes, volcanoes, or mountain building yet. It was all meteorites.
  • Paleozoic Era

    Paleozoic Era
The Paleozic Era was about 540 to 240 billions of years ago, and is divided into 6 different parts. The climate was moderate at first, then it became warmer over time. As the second-greatest sustained sea level rise in the Phanerozoic got under way.
The development of most invertebrate groups, life's conquest of land, the evolution of fish, reptiles, insects, and vascular plants, the formation of the supercontinent of Pangea, and no less than two distinct ice ages.
  • Mesozoic Era

    Mesozoic Era
This time period happend 248 to 65 million years ago. Mesozoic means "middle animals". Dinosaurs, which are perhaps the most popular organisms of the Mesozoic were birds, reptiles, and dinosaurs. Climates were more tropical in nature. There were many droughts. The Appalachin Mountains were there.
  • Cenozoic Era

    Cenozoic Era
This time period was about 65 million years ago, It's also known as the age of mammals. Flowering plants were forming. The climate was warm and tropical. Continental landmasses continued as the Earth's surface took on its present form. Large fragments of the Gondwanan supercontinent moved north and became, to varying degrees, attached to the Laurasian landmass. The north-south Atlantic spreading zone continued to widen the Atlantic, contributing to geologic strains in East Africa & the western.
