By this time all PVSD campuses will have state of the art Makerspaces that include collaborative furniture, standing work stations, large displays, extensive storage, electronic tools, 3D printers, robotics kits, etc. These spaces will be dedicated to project based learnnig and technical learning.

Desktop labs are a relic of past educational processes, when students needed a scheduled time to access technology.

On the first day of school in 2016-2017, every 6-8 grade student in PVSD will have their own device to take home. This will permanently alter the type of learning that takes place in our schools. We will finally move from 8-3 plus homework learning to a truly connected, non-linear learning environment.

We are currently replacing "row" furnitire with individual chairs and desks on casters. This furniture lends itself to individual and group learning.

Every student in every school should be taught CSBeginning in 2019-2020, all students will have to meet a Computer Science course requirement in order to graduate from 8th grade. Classes in coding, programming, physical computer science will be offered in grades 6-8.
