  • Pilgrims on the Move

    The pilgrims were one of the first people who left England in early 1600 to escape persecution. The pilgrim imagrated to other countries.

    The southern Colonies

    King James l was asked if they have the right to go and find, or establish,or a settlement in Virginia. King James l said yes for them to go and search for the new land.
  • Founding a New Colony

    On May 14, about 40 miles from James river in Virginia, the colonist founded Jamestown, it was the first permanent English settlement in North America
  • New York and New Jersey

    In the 1613, a New Netherlands director; Peter Stuyvesant led New York, and New Jersey. They started to set sail on 1664.
  • War in Virginia

    John Rolfe got married to Pocahontas. She was the daughter of Powhatan. Powhatan was the leader of that area at that time. Their marriage helped them colonies even more of the land, and it helped them. However Pocahontas died three years later in England from seeing her husband.
  • The Mayflower Compact

    All of the male passenger went on the Mayflower boat to ship to the America. The Mayflower compact, an agreement on a fair laws to protect general goods.
  • English Bill of Rights

    The Parliament replaced the unpopular King James word to the English bill of rights in 1689. This is an act that reduced the power of the English monarch. As the time went one the own colonist gained their own power by the Bill of Rights.
  • Economy of the Middle Colonies

    The colonies wanted to combined because of the good climate of the southern colonies, and with rich land. They also wanted a large grow of staple crops. Staple crops are crops that are always needed.
  • Stamp Act

    The meaning of stamp act os an act required colonists to pay for an official stamp, instead of stealing the stamp. The taxes have to be paid for legal documents, licenses, newspapers, and more. If colonist refused to stamp they have to go to jail straight after they make their choice.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre is when they colonist called the shooting or an attacked in Boston. English armys came in and started a war between them, and the colonies.
  • Colonail Governors and Legislatures

    Each colonies had to have their own government. They had to have their own government because they had to have a secret powerful way to take over other colonies. Their government is just a royal advisers, that "take over" their government.
  • Mondern Day - English Bill of Rights

    If Bill did not make the Bill of rights as our laws in America, we would not have that great laws. The Bill of Rights has given us a Constitution. They help us get new laws, and make our country better, and safer.
