  • Brown vs. Board

    The Supreme court attempts to end segregation in many schools. Some schools continued to be segregated
  • Civil Rights

    Martin Luther King Jr. and others meet up to construct peaceful protests to put an end to segregation as best as they can
  • Civil Act Rights

    Eisenhower signs a new law to protect peoples right to vote.
  • Freedom Rides

    Black and White protesters took buses and tried using whites only stuff to protest against the segregation.
  • March on Washington

    Around 250,000 people march for freedom. That is when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his I Have a Dream speech.
  • Bombing at Church

    A bomb was set off at a church in Birmingham which kills 4 girls and injured many others. This made protesters even more angry than they already were.
  • President Johnson

    Johnson signs the civil rights act into a law. It prevents discrimination against anyone.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Around 600 civil rights marchers are brutally attacked in the Selma to Montgomery March
  • Malcolm X

    Malcolm X is assassinated. He was a black religious leader in Islam
  • April

    In April of 1968 Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. On the bright side the Fair Housing Act was passed which provided equal housing no matter your race, gender, or religion
