    At 6:30pm witnesses heard a plane circling above. Followed by what sounded like an engine cutting and then a loud splash. At 9:30 search for plane was about to be abanded.

    Entire midwest was englufed in blizard. Three people braved the wind and continued to search for 5 minutes at a time. Lake started to freeze and the entire search was about to be put on standstil
  • Day three of crash

    Some duck hunters went out onto the lake where the plane was said to go down. They had found the planes wing and the body of lieut. Robert M.Prange 22 of frederickstown Missouri.

    Search was able to be started again. They had gotten permit to remove the bodies of the pilots and some more reckage out of the lake.
