    Cyber High School Opens
    Cyber High School opened its doors for the first time to students on this date. Four teachers, one administrator, one office assistant, and about thirty-five students walked through the front doors that first day. Hours of operation were 7:00 a.m. to 6:10 p.m.
  • $10,000 Grant from Qwest and AZtea

    $10,000 Grant from Qwest and AZtea
    Mark Greenberg, our one and only English teacher, wins a $10,000 Digital Classroom Leader grant from Qwest Communications and the Arizona Technology in Education Alliance. The money funds the Lupine Project which teaches students to develop educational video games.

    World-famous author and speaker Marc Prensky visits Cyber High School and addresses the students.

    Mr. Patrick Smith, our one and only Social Studies teacher, forms our first Student Government.

    Speaker of the House of Representatives for the Arizona State Legislature, Jim Weiers, visits Cyber High, gives a speech, and meets the students and staff.
  • Robot Comes Alive

    Robot Comes Alive
    Cyber Highs enters a robot, created by Mr. Moody (our one and only science teacher) and his robotics club, into the regional robotics competition at Arizona State University.
  • Mascot Officially Chosen

    Mascot Officially Chosen
    Accepting the recommendation of the Cyber High School Student Government, the Phoenix Union High School District officially named our mascot to be the griffin, a half-lion and half-eagle mythical creature.

    At the Microcomputers in Education Conference at ASU, Mark Greenberg presents about video game making in class. Several members of the faculty and administration of Cyber High attend.
