Bacon gathered a small militia to attack and drive out Native Americans in Virginia . Government saw him as trouble, so he left for a while, then he and his militia returned and burnt Jamestown to the ground. Bacon's Rebellion was also a turning point in American history which triggered events that led to the development of racism.

The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witch craft in colonial Massachusetts. A group of young girls in Salem, Massachusetts, claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused about 200 woman of witchcraft. Thirty of those were found guilty, 19 of whom were hung.
