    Bacon's Rebellion

    Tension came to a high in Virginia as Sir William Berkley, the Royal Governor, was festering corruption by retaining the gains from almost all tobacco crops. Nathanial Bacon led an attack on the Native Americans to foster animosity between the Virginia Colony and Natives, but ultimately in 1676 Bacon would be killed and the rebellion would fail, but not without having a significant impact.
