On Saturday, Aug. 1 1987, The Denver Dynamite defeated the Pittsburgh Gladiators at the Civic Arena, with the top open at the first ever Arena Bowl. There were 13,232 people in attendence.

Tampa Bay Storm's Page/In 1991( (exact date not specified) the Pittsburgh Gladitors moved and became a team that still currently exists as the Tampa Bay Storm. They have one five Arena Football Championships in 1991, 1993 , 1995, 1996, and 2003.

On August 20, it is announced that the Pittsburgh Power will be a new team in Pittsburgh and play it's 8 home game season at the newly constructed Consol Energy Center.
