    All people except black men to provided with guns and ammunition. This law was the first law to create a legal distinction between white and black people. It is also meaning that black people could not defend themselves, hut, or do anything with a gun.

    Act XII
    THis act declared that the children born with the mother in slavery are slaves. Even if the father is free, the child is still a slave. This means even if the father was a wealthy free black but the mother was a slave, the children are still slaves.
  • Baptism of Slaves does not free them from bondage

    This law stated that if you were a slave and you got baptized, you were not free from bondage. This law came in conflict with a English law that stated if a person was baptized, he could not be enslaved.

    This law stated that if a slave stole a hog, first offence would be to be whipped 39 times, and the second offence was to stand a hour in the pillory.

    This act declared that if you were a slave, you could not bear office in both civil or military states if you were negro, mulatto,or American Indian.
