Conditions of the Working Class in England
Engels published the book "The Conditions of the Working Class in England" which exposed the average day of a factory worker. Engels was also a good friend of Karl Marx, aiding him in composing the Communist Manifesto. Coming from a rich life, he gave a lot of financial aid to Marx. -
The Ten Hours Act restricted the daily labor hours of women and children in factories to 10 hours. While it was still a long period, it was a small step toward the improvements they needed.
