    Agreement between the pro slavery and anti slavery sides of congress. Missouri is now a Slave state.
    Maine is now a Free state.

    They ban slave trade is Washington D.C.

    Citizins must now help catch runaway slaves by law.
    If you helped slaves you would be fined or put in prison.

    Dred Scott was a slave that went to the courts in order to sue for his freedom. After many, many trials he went to the Supreme Court where he was denied his freedom due to the views in the court. they believe that since he was in the african race that he could never be a citizin.

    John Brown and his 5 sons target an arsenal in Harpers Ferry. They expect local slaves to help but none show up. Mission Fails and Brown's sons are killed in action. He is also captured and sentenced to death.

    Jefferson Davis is now elected to be the first president of the Confederates. South Carolina is first to secede.
  • Firing on Fort Sumter

    Firing on Fort Sumter
    President Lincoln decides to send supplies to Fort Sumner which is located in the South. The confederates learn this and take advantage. They attack. The cival war begins.
