  • Bureau of Education for the Handicapped

    The creation of the Bureau of Education for the Handicapped. Added to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 as Title VI.
  • Rehabilitation Act of 1973 - Section 504

    Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is enacted protecting qualified individuals from discrimination based on their disability.
  • FERPA

    The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is enacted mandating that parents have access to all information collected, maintained, or used by a school district regarding their child.
