    The first lines could only connect to the home and a business place. This was started in New Haven, Connecticut and by 1900 1.5 telephones were in use.

    In 1892 the first model was created by Charles and Frank Duryea. After that about 8 million cars were on the road. By the 1920 15 million cars were on the road. Rapid growth was because of Henry Ford.
