She started practicing freestyle swimming when she was 13 years old

When she was 13 years old she ran away from Syria with her sisters, a cousin and other refugees. They travelled all over east Europe, Turkey, Greece, Italy and finally Germany.

She was selected to join a new swimming international refugees team

She participated to the Olympics 100 metres butterfly in the Olympic refugees team

Today she lives in Germany
