Yui Yoshioka's Life

  • Birth

    Born in March 26, 1987, Yui was born and raised in Fukuoka prefecture. Her father left her when she was only three so she grew up with a single-parent life.
  • HighSchool

    By the time Yui went into high school, she wrote songs thinking of that as being able to express herself little by little. She had troubles during her high school year since she had to work for her tuition, but between school, music, and work, she had only one hour for sleep making her ill at the time. As she was in the hospital when she was ill, she had the desire for music.
  • Albums Released

    Yui released her major single debut with the song called,"Feel My Soul", as a tribute for her hometown. The song managed to get placed at the number 8 spot for Oricon Weekly Charts with 100,000 copies sold. She had three other songs that didn't get as much as ,"Feel My Soul", and those songs were "Tomorrow's Day", "Life", and "Tokyo". Her last song that she had released was "From Me to You" got atleast 200,000 copies sold.

    She started her career when she applied for an audition hosted by Sony Music Japan. She sang three songs for the audition and she had a maximum score by them even though one of the songs was incomplete. They had glimpse of what could be dubbed for her.

    Yui won four awards herself and was nominated six other awards from 2007 to 2011.
  • Her Break from Music

    Yui took a break from music because she doesn't want her fans to see her with a broken heart if it happens.

    Yui returned from her hiatus with a new band named,"Flower Flower", they debuted with a song that was titled,"Tsuki",

    Yui plays many instruments and most likely guitars, bass guitars, electric guitar, piano, and drums. She likes to play the guitar the most.
