YCUSD Current Status Related to 1:1 Implementation
While YCUSD sites have varying numbers of mobile labs, there has been no PD to promote using these devices to enrich student learning. As we began the 2016-17 school year , 6 teachers continued the pilot of 1:1 devices for learning - half were provided with laptops & the other half were provided with I-pads. Over the course of the school year they will rotate devices with the eventual outcome of recommending the "best" device for further implementation of 1:1 in YCUSD. -
2016-17: Year 2 of YCUSD 1:1 Pilot
In January 2017, eight additional teachers were identified to participate in YCUSD's 1:1 pilot. Chromebooks were added into the mix of devices being rotated through the pilot classrooms. Devices being piloted now include touchscreen laptops; I-Pads & Chromebooks. The fourteen 1:1 pilot teachers will provide input in the spring of 2017 related to "the" device that will be identified for the continued implementation of 1:1 devices in YCUSD. -
Identify Device for 1:1 Implementation
YCUSD Tech Committee, with imput from 1:1 pilot teachers, will identify the device that will be purchased for 1:1 implementation to begin in the 2017-2018 school year.... what will it be? Chromebook? I-Pad? Laptop? -

Recruit 50 Teachers for Year 1 1:1 Implementation
Recruit up to 50 teachers to implement 1:1 devices in the 2017-18 schoolyear. Selected teachers will agree to participate in
PD sessions during the summer and fall semester prior to implementing 1:1 devices in the spring semester -
Identify 50 Teachers for Year 1 1:1 Implementation
Identify the 50 teachers who will begin the training in order to implement 1:1 devices in their classrooms no later than Jan 2018. The teachers will be selected through an application process. Professional development will be key to successful implementation. There will be a series of PD sessions prior to delivery of the carts as well as on-going PD once the carts are in use in the classrooms. -
Purchase 15 Chromebook carts
Purchase 15 Chromebook carts (one per schoolsite) to be used by Tech TOSAs to provide demo lessons to teachers not yet at 1:1. Outcome = Build enthusiasm for 1:1 in the classroom!! -
Purchase 1:1 devices for 50 classrooms
Purchase the 1:1 devices (30 per cart) and carts for the teachers who have been selected to implement 1:1 in the 2017-18 school year -

YCUSD will recruit, hire, and provide PD to two Technology TOSAs who will begin working with teachers in the fall of 2017. -
CUE Rockstar Admin Camp
Hold a CUE Rockstar Admin Camp in Yuba City for all District and Site administrators as part of our beginning of school year Leadership days. -
CUE Rockstar Camp for 1:1 Teachers
Hold a CUE Rockstar Teacher Camp in Yuba City for 1:1 teachers on one of our negotiated pre-service professional development days. -
14 Teachers Implement 1:1
The 14 teachers who are currently participating in the 1:1 pilot will continue to implement 1:1 in their classrooms. The device that is identified as the "district standard" will be purchased for their classrooms. -

Tech TOSAs Support 1:1 Implementation
Two Tech TOSAs will begin supporting 1:1 teachers and also provide classrooms demos using Chromebook carts for teachers not yet at 1:1. -
50 Teachers Implement 1:1
50 teachers will receive their carts and begin use of 1:1 devices with their students. Because we are using classroom carts to implement 1:1, students will not be able to take devices home until year 4. -
100 Teachers Identified for 1:1 in 2018-19 school year
By June 1st, identify the 100 teachers who will implement 1:1 in the 2018-19 school year. Teachers will again be selected via an application process. Teachers will agree to participate in on-going professional development to support technology in the classroom. -
Purchase 1:1 devices for 100 classrooms
Purchase the 1:1 devices (30 per cart) and carts for the 100 teachers who have been selected to implement 1:1 in the 2018-19 school year -
100 Teachers Begin PD to Implement 1:1 devices
100 Teachers will begin their professional learing in order to implement 1:1 devices in their classrooms by December 2018 -

200 teachers Identified for 1:1 in 2019-20 school year
By May 10th, identify the 200 teachers who will implement 1:1 in the 2019-20 school year. Teachers will again be selected via an invitation process. Teachers will agree to participate in on-going professional development to support technology in the classroom. -
Purchase 1:1 devices for 200 classrooms
Purchase the 1:1 devices (30 per cart) and carts for the 200 teachers who have been selected to implement 1:1 in the 2019-20 school year -
200 Teachers Begin PD to Implement 1:1 devices
200 Teachers will begin their professional learning in order to implement 1:1 devices in their classrooms by November 2019 -

Purchase 2,100 Devices
The purchase of 2,100 devices will transition the District from 1:1 carts in classrooms to 1:1 devices for all students JK-12. Students will now be issued a device that they will be able to use at school and at home. -
ALL YCUSD Students 1:1
The District will now have a sufficient number of devices to issue one to ALL JK-12th grade YCUSD students. Students will be able to their device both at the school and at home. -
