Proclamtion of 1763
King George III spet a lot of money on The French and Indian War which caused him to be in huge debt.After he won the war he said that the land he won, no colonist would be able to move there.That caused the Proclamtion of 1763. -
The Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was an act that was passed on by the British Parliment.Colonist had to pay a tariff on molasses and sugar. A tariff is an imported good(s),or products from another country.Many colonists were very angry.However, they cannot disobey their king. -
Townsend Acts
In 1776, British Parliment and King George III repealed the Stamp Act and added the Townshend Acts.That tax said that every colonist had to pay a tax on imported goods, such as, glass, paint, and tea. -
Boston Massacare
The Boston Massacare was a result of th angry colonists who didn't
want to pay taxes.It all started when a soilder and a colonist started to have an agruement. Many colonists started to throw snowballs, rocks, and oyster sgells at the British Troops.Crispus Attacks was an african american and was the first out of five that were killed. -
Boston Tea Party
In 1773, colonists dressed up as Mowhawk Indians and dumped all the Britsh Tea in the water in Boston Harbor. THis event is known as The Boston Tea Party. -
The Coercive Acts aka Intolerable Acts
In 1774, British Parliament added the Coercive Acts, as punishment of dumping all the tea.This act angered many colonists.What angered most the colonists was that King George III said that all British troops had to live with clonists and had to be housed and feed by the colonists they are living wth.
