The reason why Stalin caused this was because Stalin felt threatened by the advancements of the Ukrainian people and their refusal to policies so he shattered their food industry and caused massive amounts of starvation.

    Japan bombs Pearl Harbor
    The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service upon the United States against the naval base at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii. They suicide bombed with airplanes and took out 19 U.S. Navy ships, including 8 battleships and killed over 2,000 U.S citizens. This attack caused the U.S to finally involve themselves in WWII.
