    This ignited from a conflict between Chinese and Japanese troops over control of the Chinese mainland. Japan took its troops to a railroad from Manchuria to Korea which then causes the Japanese to attack Chinese troops, resulting in Japans control over Manchuria.

After the British left and France was left to fight for itself, the Germans launched Case Red or Fall Rot which started on June the 5th. June 22nd, France and Germany signed an armistice and the result was a split of the country of France where Germany got control of the west and the north

    On January 20, 1942 high ranked Nazi party and Germany government officials met at a villa in the Berlin Suburb at Wannsee to discuss the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question." It happened to discuss what they were going to do to the Jews. Because of this conference approximately 1 million Jews world wide would die at concentration camps.

    On June 22, 1941,Nazi Germany launched a massive invasion against the USSR. For the 1942 summer offensive, Adolf Hitler ordered the Sixth Army, to take Stalingrad in the south, an industrial center and obstacle to Nazi control of the precious Caucasian oil wells. The last German troops in the Soviet city of Stalingrad surrender to the Red Army, ending one of the pivotal battles of World War II.

    The Americans and British bombed Hamburg Germany. It was to bomb cities in Germany to strike back. When it was over 17,000 bomber sorties dropped more than 9,000 tons of explosives, killing more than 30,000 people and destroying 280,000 building.

    The proposal was to bomb the Eastern-most cities of Germany to disrupt the transport behind what was becoming the Eastern front. More than 3,400 tons of explosives were dropped on the cities by 800 American and British aircraft. In result eight square miles of the city was ruined with a total body count of between 35,000 and 135,000.

Iwo Jima was defended by 23,000 Japanese troops and Navy troops but was attacked with 6,800 tons of bombs 22,000 shells. they fought from caves,dugouts,tunnels,and underground installations. In result of this battle 5,900 Americans were killed with 17,400 wounded

    Allied forces invade the island of Okinawa and engage the Japanese in one of the bloodiest battles of World War 2. The capture of Okinawa was part of a 3 point plan the Americans had for winning the war for the east. In all there were 100,000 Japanese casualties and 50,000 Allied casualties.

Several surrender documents were signed in Berlin and in eastern Germany. Several Germans tried to keep from being taken from the Soviet Union, but several failed and were taken and held captive by the Russians.     Since 1940 the us had been working on developing an Atomic weapon after Albert Einstein warned the US Nazi Germany was doing research into Nuclear weapons. The American bomber Enola Gay dropped a Five-Ton bomb. The blast was equivalent to the power of 15,000 tons of TNT, which immediately killing 80,000 people, tens of thousands more died during following weeks due to radiations.
