A town that Poland has owned since the World War I. Hitler demanded it since it was mostly made up of Germans. they didnt want to give it up so he asked for a highway and a railroad to seperate the west from the east. He was willing to go to war but didnt want to start war with the Soviets -

A pacted that Stalin believed would protect the USSR -
Poland, Britian, France
Stalin believed that the only way to protect the USSR was to make communism against each other. That then created the nonaddression pact which Hitler signed to free himself from war. A couple days later he invaded Poland not knowing about the secret deal that Poland was going to be split between Germany and the Soviet. After Germany ivaded Poland, Britan and France declared war on Germany. This therefor stared war. This is important because it was the reason WWII started. -
Phony War or Bore War
Since western Poland was stick quiet thye refered to it the Sitzkrieg. But in american newspapers they called it the Phony War. -
Invasion of France
After WWI the French built a concrete wall that would line the German border. To help protect the people and there soldiers. -
French Surrender
After the French surrender Winston Churchill made a speech to warn the others to do the same as the French. -
The Miricle at Dunkirk
Germany trapped a couple countries and forces them to move east. The only one that was left out was Dunkirk. When they pushed them east hitler ordered them to stop and no one knows why. -
Batlle of Britian
Germany accidently bombed London. Which start a war of throwing bombs back and fourth. After doing this and losing people. Hitler stopped the invasion of Britian.
