Battle of Stalingrad
Despite the Nazi-soviet pact, germany invaded Russia taking towns and they were ordered to take Stalingrad. They thought it would only take 10 days. Russian planes drombed bombs secretly on the Germans. Stalin ordered back up to the fight and the Germans were circled. Jan 31, Paulus surrendered the South sector, the remaining German troops surrenderd on Feb 2. This turned the German Soviet war around. -
D-day and Operation Overlord
Eisenhower gave orders for the largest Military invasion in history. 155,000 troops would invade Normady. US only managed to get halp of the vehicles on shore and a quater of supplies. Only 1,000 US men died and 335 Canadian. -

hitler was in his bunker 55 ft. under his headquarters in Berlin. He knew that Germany would fold under the Allies, many of his commanders knew this and were going to over throw him. So he and Eva Braun poisened themselves and their dogs, the hitler shot himself in the head. The germans surrendered 8 days latter leaving the Allies to carve up Germany. -
