Japanese invasion of China
During his event, Japan attempted to expand east into Asia and China. This had many consequences but as all things had some positives. Rape of Nanking
The rape of Nanking was a horrible event in history. During this time, Japanese General Matsui ordered the city of Nanking to be destroyed. This was a choice to attempt to break the spirits of the Chinese resistance. In the end more than 200,000 men were killed as soldiers and civilians alike. Germany invaded Poland

German Blitzkrieg
Bliztkrieg was a German term for “lightning wars”. This style of fighting caused disorganization in the enemy allowing for easy victory. Germany adopted this strategy because they wanted to limit troop loss and artillery usage. This ended up winning Germany many battles but also lower other nations to adopt the strategy. This attack was the Germans trying to advance east into the Soviet Union. Unfortunately for the Germans, this was not successful. Pearl Harbor
The Pearl Harbor attack was a dark moment for America. The Japanese killed thousands of US civilians at Pearl Harbor naval base and destroyed boats and planes. The Wannasee conference was a important moment for the Germans and soviets. The conference was held in a Berlin suburb known as Wannasee. The battle of midway was one of the most interesting battles of WWII. This fact is due to the event of American code breakers deciphering Japanese plans and thus allowing us to set a trap. The Potsdam Declaration was quite simple but had a big impact. The document demanded that Japan surrenders or face serious consequences. The declaration was made because the allies were now in full control and wanted the war to end.
