The invasion pushed back the germans and grained the americans gained grounded in France. D-Day was the turning point for the western front of the war.

    One Of the last major German offensive of the war. The Germans surprised the allies frontline by coming through the ardennes and attcked the relaxed troops. The front line bulged backed and it took 6 weeks for the american troops to regain the ground lost. The Germans lost most of their men that they couldnt replace during the battle and weakened the German western front majorly.
