  • Invasion of the Rhineland

    German military forced themselves into the Rhineland. This violated the terms of the treaty of Versailles
  • The Anschluss with Austria

    Germany and Austria became united. This also violated the terms of the treaty of Versailles.
  • The Munich Conference

    The British and French prime ministers signed the Munich pact, giving Germany parts (and eventually) of Czechoslovakia.
  • Invasion of Poland

    By Germany invading Poland it sparked the start of WW2.
  • Allied Declaration of war

    Great Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand responed to Nazi Germany invading Poland by Declaring war.
  • Australia Declares War

    Australia found Nazi Germany as a threat as Germany and Japan became allies. So Australia declared war alomg side Britain, France and New Zealand.
  • Siege of Tobruk

    The siege started on the 10th of April when Tobruk was attacked by an Italian- German force, continuing until the 27th of November, when relieved by Allied army.
  • Japanese Bomb Darwin

    This was the first and largest single attack ever mounted by a foreign power on Australia causing many casualties.
  • Japanese subs attack Sydney

    Submarines belonging to the Japanese navy made a series of attacks on the cities of Sydney and Newcastle.
  • Kokado Track Campaign

    The campaign consisted of a series of battles fought between July 21 and November 16 between the Japanese and Allied- Australian forces in what then was Australian territory of Papua.
