    Pearl Harbor is a U.S. naval base located near Honolulu, Hawaii. Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese forces on December 7, 1941. Hundreds of U.S. Vessels and battleships were destroyed. This impacted U.S. by making forces weaker and easier to be attacked by Japanese forces.

    The Wannsee Conference was a meeting for the Nazi party of Germany to determine the "Final Solution" to execute the worldwide hated Jews. In July 1941, Herman Goering ordered German officials to submit a general plan to carry out this "final solution" to execute the Jews and make sure they were financially stable to buy chemicals and other life threatening products. This effected the Jewish population in a very bad way with thousands of deaths and crucial injuries.

This battle took place from 1942-1943 and is known as one of the bloodiest wars where nearly 2 million people were killed this effected the Russian civilians where tens of thousands were killed from warfare

Montgomery also, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini building Italy into a new roman empire, but military defeats in WWII held him back. On July 10,1943 the allies began their invasion of Axis-controlled Europe with landings on the island of Sicily. They ended up conquering the quest of Sicily.

The invasion was one of the largest military assaults in history by late August 1944, all of Northern France had been liberated and in the spring the Germans had been defeated by the Allies.

    The Battle of Iwo Jima was an epic military campaign between U.S. Marines and the Imperial Army of Japan in early 1945. Located 750 miles off the coast of Japan, the island of Iwo Jima had three airfields that could serve as a staging facility for a potential invasion of Japan. American forces did just that they invaded the Island on February 19. 1945, and lasted for 5 weeks. 21,000 Japanese forces on the island were killed.

Also, cities in Western Europe, put out flags celebrating and rejoicing in the defeat of the Nazi war machine. This affected places all around the world because now on May 8, countries around the world celebrate this well known day.

    As Allied troops moved across Europe in a series of offensives against Nazi Germany, they began to encounter tens of thousands of concentration camp prisoners. Many of these prisoners had survived forced marches into the interior of Germany from camps in occupied Poland. These prisoners were suffering from starvation and disease.
