  • Austria declare war on Serbia?

    A month after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie on July 28 1914, the Austro-Hungarian government declares war on Serbia. This was the start to World War One. doesn't effect the US that much just some cool headlines on newspapers
  • United Kingdom declaration of war upon Germany

    The United Kingdom declares war upon Germany happened on 4 August 1914, the declaration was a result of Germany not wanting to remove troops from neutral Belgium. This was also a massive turning point to start the real part of the fighting in WW1. The US being friends with the France Which was friends with the United kingdom
  • the German submarine (U-boat) Shows Off On A British Cruise Liner

    The sinking of the Lusitania was not the single largest factor that made the US join the war but it was a big part due to the amount of Americans that were on that boat. This also showed the world the German U-Boat which was terrifying, doing critical damage to you before you knew what the enemy was.
  • The Presidential Election Come To A End

    The US has a new president after the election between Wilson and Charles E. Hughes and Wilson was "Planning to be neutral" and was just trying to better the country not go to war
  • British Found Something They Shouldn't have.

    The British found out the the Germans were about to bring out all of there U-Boats and throw them it to the Atlantic with one order "Blow up all Allied shipping, including American transports." I mean its American ships their blowing up do i need to say why they are involved
  • The United States Join the War

    The United States had enough of their stuff getting blow up so they say "hey stop that Germany," NO says Germany. so we respond with a note saying we don't like you now so we will blow you up.
  • First US troops arrive in France

    The first 14,000 U.S. infantry troops landed in France Which was the first time the United states interacted
  • The Sedition Act of 1918

    The Sedition Act covered a broader range of offenses. Woodrow Wilson’s decision to bring the United States into the First World War brought widespread opposition.

    This was a massive turning point in world history because it showed how fast the word can flip upside down.
