    Japanese Invasion of China
    China fought Japan with some economic help from Germany, the Soviet Union, and also the United States. nitially the Japanese scored major victories in Shanghai after heavy fighting, and by the end of 1937 captured the Chinese capital of Nanking. By 1939 the war had reached stalemate after Chinese victories in Changsha and Guangxi. On the 7th of December 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, and the following day the Japanese surrendered.
