  • The German Bliztkrieg

    The German Bliztkrieg
    This was the German offensive into neighboring countries that would focus its army into small and powerful spear heads. This occurred because German was punished with the loss of many parts of itself from before and they thought it had belonged to them along with the rise to power of Hitler let them be lead into WW2. This had lead to an early lead for Germany when invading the nearby countries as they were caught off guard by the speed of the German Blitzkrieg.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack by the Japanese on the military base in Hawaii that had killed 2,403 people and destroyed many ships. This had happened because Japan was fearing that America would enter the war soon and they were going to try and take out its naval fighting ability before the U.S. could enter the war. This was the reason that America had entered WW2 and got the citizens of America into the mood for war.
  • Wannsee Conference

    Wannsee Conference
    This was a meeting of Nazi officials and deciding the enactment of the final solution to the Jewish question. This had happened because Hitler had been running a campaign against anyone who was not of the Aryan race. This event had caused the creation of the death and labor camps that would have appalling conditions for the prisoners inside of them.

    D-day (Normandy Beach)
    D-day was the invasion of Normandy beach with 156,000 soldiers dropped in 50 miles of beach. This had happened because this had liberated the western part of Europe from German control and was a important turning point in the war for western Europe. The effect of this event had turned the war against the Germans and had started to push them back from the western front.

    Battle of Iwo Jima
    This was the attack on the Japaneses controlled island Iwo Jima and to capture it for the Allies. This had happened because America needed to control these island to plan a full scale invasion of the Japaneses mainland. The effects of this battle had allowed the Allied powers to be able to attack the Japaneses mainland much easier.

    VE day was the day that the unconditional surrender of Nazi German was confirmed.This had occurred during the battle of Berlin in Hitler and his wife had committed suicide and causing the surrender of Nazi Germany. The effects of this event caused many through America to celebrate the end of the war and the surrender of Germany.
  • Dropping of the Atomic Bomb

    Dropping of the Atomic Bomb
    The Dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had occurred and caused over 200,000 casualties and many more after from the effects of the nuclear bombs. This had happened because a mainland invasion of Japan was deemed to risky and would cause too many losses and it was decided to drop the bombs. The effect of this event had caused the surrender of Japan with 200,000 deaths of Japaneses soldiers and civilians.

    VJ Day
    This was the day that Japan had unconditionally surrendered against the U.S.. This had happened because the United States had Dropped two atomic bombs onto the Japaneses mainland and had destroyed two cities and killed 200,000 people in an instant. The effect of this event had marked the end of WW2.

    Liberation of Concentration Camps
    The liberation of the Concentration camps was the liberation of Nazi Concentration camps of all the Jews and other people. The liberation of these camps had happened as when the Allied had been attacking the outside countries of Germany and had found them in these camps. The impact of this event had shown that the Germans had been torturing the Jewish population in Germany.
  • Battle of the bulge

    Battle of the bulge
    This was the last major offensive push from the Germans on the western front and was their last chance to hold on to the land they had gained earlier in the war. This had happened because this was Germany's last ditch effort to push the allied forces out of German territory. The effects of this event had heavily depleted Garnishes resources and they could not replace the units they had lost in this battle.
