Alos known as the nanking massacre. The rape of nanking was where 300,000 people were slaughtered. They were bayonetted, decapitated, and buried in mass graves. It was a terrible genocide.

Battle Of Iwo Jima
An amphibious invasion of of the island Iwo Jima was a result of the need for a base of operations near Japan. following harsh naval and air bombardments, three U.S. marine divisions landed on Iwo Jima. The island was defended by 23,000 Japaneses soliders usin a system of underground caves, tunnels, and dugouts. But, after a month of fighting the marines were victorious.

This day marked a day of celebration for the brittish and americans. This day was the day the signefied the victory in Europe. The final cease fire order was given on this date. On this date 13,000 Brittish POW's were released. -

The dropping of this bombs officially marked the end of WW2. Dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the intent to end the war with no more american casualties. germany was already defeated by this time but japan was yet to surrender.
