    Orville Wright is born in Daton, Ohio to Susan and Milton Wright.

  • The Brothers Built a Biplane Kite

  • First Flight Trail in Kitty Hawk

  • First Successful Flight

    The first successful flight was completed in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

  • Wilbur Wright Ariives in Europe

    Wilbur Wright arrived in France and, over the course of a year, made over 200 flight demonstrations in Europe.

  • Orville Completes US Army Flight Trials

    Orville Wright comepleted flight trials for a U.S. Army contract in 1909. Afterwards, he and his sister Katherine went to France to meet up with Wilbur and continue the European demonstrations. He also trained German students to fly.

  • Wilbur Wright Dies

    Wilbur Wright fell ill on a trip to Boston in April 1912. After being diagnosed with typhoid fever, he died on May 30, 1912, at his family home in Dayton, Ohio.
